The Oliver Gang (TOG)
Ladies Organizational Meeting
Van Wert Summer Show
July 6, 2002

The Oliver Gang ladies met for a short meeting during the Van Wert Summer Show. We are planning to meet, if needed, at Spring Fling, Summer Show and Plow Day.
First we will pick a name for TOG ladies at Plow Day. Becky Losey will incorporate the name of our group into our ladies page in the TOG newsletter. All ladies are to bring their suggestions and we will vote on the one we want.
Becky will also be our Sunshine Chairperson and will put names of people who have a need on the Web page. Ladies without access to the Web page will have a phone chain to notify them. Anyone who hears of someone sick or with a special need, please contact Becky. If you do not have access to the Web page and want to be on the phone chain, please let Becky know so we can get the phone chain set up.
Dixie Taggart is going to head up the Crafts and Decoration committee for coordinating events. Any lady, who has an idea, samples, patterns, etc., can send or give them to Dixie.
Many ladies had ideas for items they would like to see us sell. Mildred Mitchell is going to coordinate this job and ladies can send suggestions to her. She will research these items and get the cost for the Board of Directors' approval. Dixie has a source for jewelry. Someone suggested rain gauges and Bev had brought a sample of a tractor ornament for everyone to look at to see what they thought.
Bev Snyder is going to research and locate places for the ladies to car pool to while the men are plowing, etc. She will check and see what she can coordinate for the ladies to do while the men and boys are having a Father/Son Banquet in January 2003. We will have events listed in the newsletter with the cost, time, etc., so the women will know what is planned before they arrive. We will also have flyers with information available at TOG booth. If TOG is having an event in your area and you know of a place you think the ladies would be interested in, please contact Bev.
Ruth Parrish is going to be our hostess at TOG events to be sure all women know what we are doing and where. We will have some signs made up to designate where we are meeting.
We are going to take a group picture of TOG members at each event. We will have it made into an 8" X 10" and displayed in a photo album also to be at TOG booth. Jessie Schaeffer volunteered Bob to help with this and we also talked about asking Chris Losey to help. This will not replace all the snaps Margaret, Ruth and others take for the wonderful displays they have around the booth area.
The Kopp ladies asked why we did not have a sign up sheet so everybody would know and be able to take a
