EDITOR'S NOTE

Well, you've heard it before. 'The computer is down, your item will have to be processed later.' But later isn't always acceptable, particularly when you're dealing with time sensitive material.  That has been my dilemma.

My personal computer, which I use to prepare your newsletter, has crashed several times in recent weeks.  Each time, we take the tower to our  computer guru friend and he enables the computer to hobble along for a short time while we try to make it until the new parts come in.  We are in the waiting stage with no personal computer working.

Your President, Chris Losey, prepared a letter  about the OLIVER GANG SUMMER SHOW AND BANQUET and mailed it under separate cover.

Now, Chris and I are working together to put your newsletter together.  I have used our son, Todd's computer, our daughter, Lisa's computer, our friend, Peg's computer, and the school's computer.  Of course, each one works a little differently than the other.  And each computer has different versions or entirely different word processor programs.  I have created a new email address to enable communication with Chris.  I have prepared the submitted articles and then emailed them to Chris.  He has put them together in the final stage and mailed them to you.  Whew...The newsletter is finally together.

Just another example of OLIVER GANG cooperation!   Thank you all!
Your editor,  Bev Snyder    bevasnyder@netscape.net

By the way,  please submit articles for the upcoming newsletter.  Just write them out and I will take it from there.  Anything deemed of interest to the OLIVER GANG is reasonable.

Also, remember, the subscription fee of $5.00 (US FUNDS) covers three issues in one calendar year.  It'll be time to subscribe around Nov or Dec

JOHN WILKES

Many of you will remember John from the NATMUS museum.  He served as the director during the HPOCA Winter Get-Together last March.   Just a couple of weeks after our winter event, John passed away.

SAD NEWS

It was sad news, indeed, to learn of the devastating fire incurred at the BLUE farm.  OLIVER TRACTORS and equipment were lost in their spring barn fire.

Roger, Alta, and Keith,  please know other OLIVER GANG members are saddened by  your loss and grateful for your safety.
