I have an 1855 and hydraulic fluid slowly leaks out of it from somewhere by the speedometer cable connection under the tractor. I have replaced that seal but it still leaks out and I can't track down the leak. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, The reservoir completely drains after it sits about 1 month. |

Wait a minute here. The speedometer is in front of the transmission, The hydraulic reservoir sits on top of the transmission. Have you checked the oil in the final drive and transmission? Maybe it is way over full because the hydraulic oil leaks into it and that is also why the speedometer seal leaks. |

Take some flour and throw it in there and look for the wet spot. Might not hurt to wash it down some before throwing the flour in there. |

When I say 'in there', I mean the area by the speedometer cable, not in the hydraulic reservoir. That would be a bad idea. |

My 1855 leaks down the front of the transmission too, but not very bad. Mine was coming from the power steering hoses under the dash, and I replaced them and slowed it down, but I think the brake box is leaking some now and it drains down in front of the transmission. You will need to pull the fuel tank off and look in behind there and see if something is leaking. |
