Hi I am about to take apart my engine from a s 55 gas 4cyl..Is there anything I should do or look for before I start this task.Motor is out of tractor and in garage.Thanks Jim |

Nothing I can think of right off. It is pretty straight forward as motors go. If you do hit any snags, let us know and we'll do our best to help out. |

Thank you...so far it has come apart easily..I have a ? concerning liner removal is it easy or is there something I should know about them?Thanks Jim |

A good block of hard wood on the bottom and a six pound sledge will take them out. Make sure you clean the top & bottom counterbores good and make sure you have about 0.001 to 0.004 liner protrusion when finished. |
