Hi I am about to take apart my engine from a s 55 gas 4cyl..Is there anything I should do or look for before I start this task.Motor is out of tractor and in garage.Thanks Jim

Nothing I can think of right off. It is pretty straight forward as motors go. If you do hit any snags, let us know and we'll do our best to help out.

Thank you...so far it has come apart easily..I have a ? concerning liner removal is it easy or is there something I should know about them?Thanks Jim

A good block of hard wood on the bottom and a six pound sledge will take them out. Make sure you clean the top & bottom counterbores good and make sure you have about 0.001 to 0.004 liner protrusion when finished.
