I am trying to find a source for parts for the two section hydraulic pump mounted on the front of a White/Oliver 4-78 loader-backhoe. Cessna does not offer parts for this pump and has listed it as obsolete since the early 70's. Do you know of a source for parts, a very good condition used pump or a replacement pump by a different manufacturer?

Try Baum Hydraulics. They handle Commercila/Schering who I think made some of the pumps for the industrial machine. Their catalog is out at the farm or I'd give you the number. Have all your old pumps numbers and they can probably help you.

A. P. How about I send you a formula and you measure up the gears and you can probably purchase a pump locally. Or Find me on the HPOCA site and send me a U2U e-mail. If you want to speed it up ( cycle times) now is the time to do it.

A. P. I forgot one thing. I do not know who you checked with, but a few years ago I did a field school for a customer in the state of Washington and one of their main sidelines was they were the largest Cessna distributor in the U. S. They at that time, had quite a large selection of obsolete Cessna parts. John

I would like the contact information if you can find it. I am not quite ready to put a different pump in yet but if I can not find parts or they are too expensive then I would appreciate your help on matching a new pump.

Take care,
A.P.

I retrieved the catalog from the farm over the weekend. It's Baum Bearing Company, 800-228-9222.
There are only a few ASAE, SAE mounting patterns, and once you give them the specs off your old pump they shoud have and eqivelent unit. We had real good luck dealing with them.

A. P. Look behind the 1 A on the model number. There is more. You might be lucking out, but I need the rest of the model number. Find me on the HPOCA site and send me a U2U so I can get you more information.
