John,
Found this site and am posting the information as you requested:

The thrust bearing is flanged on both sides. One side is stamped "D600G 29S" and the othre is "F600G 228"

One of the others is stamped "F600G 230?" and the other is stamped "F600G 229"

Another on (I think it's the rear? measures 1 9/16 wide) has ink stamps that are not very readable, but I can make out the following: F600G 2??" on one side and the other side is unreadable.

Same as above for the other (1 5/16 wide) is ink stamped as follows: ""BA-1?" and the other side is unreadable.

Hope this helps. Thanks!

First of all I am not an Oliver wiss kid let alone a 70 wiss kid. However the bearings for a 70 which is a D model Continental built engine are the same as the F model Continental engine. That is why you have the D & F numbers on the back of the bearings. You have the thrust bearing which has a flange on one side. Shims and a thrust washer are used on the other side of the front bearing to control crankshaft endplay. Check with your shop. 020 under bearings should be available no problem. If he tells you no, please let me know and I will get you set numbers for both Clevite and F-M. Any other questions

I had to look another item. The Clevite set is MS194P. They will not have the flange. You will need to substitute for the flange with another thrust washer set.

John,
Sounds to me like you're being too modest! You have been a life saver! I don't know what I'd do without help from people like you.

I called the machine shop guy and he said that his supplier told him that the bearings are only available in standard and 0.010" oversized. Makes a lot of sense since he ground the crank before finding out if he could get bearings for it! Anyway, do you have any recommendations for an alternate source? If not I'll just call Clevite and see what they say.

Thanks!!!!

Happens every day> Rule of thumb for this old stuff, find out what bearings are available then grind the crank to fit the bearings. I had a guy I used to do a little work for who had a Deere. He got the crank ground to 030, trouble was there had not been any 30 under bearings in years. We put Case bearings in it.
If Chris cab get the HPOCA web site fixed send me a P. M. or I hate to do this to Chris, but send it to his attention (webmaster here) and enclose your phone number. I would guess I could find a set of .020 Under (not over) size bearings. However I am away on business tomorrow and part of Thursday. You have a Merry Christmas. John
