550 3pt Problem - Bucking

Author Message   Tom Spisak Posted on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 8:53 am:    I'm having problems with the 3pt hitch on my 550. The lift arms keep drifting down and then jumping back up. When I put on a post hole auger on everything started jumping. The hydraulic cutout would engage and be countered by the top link spring. Should I be looking for a hydraulic leak, do I have a pressure relief problem, or something else?   TOM ANDERSON Posted on Monday, November 22, 2004 - 10:52 am:    11-22-04 TOM THERE IS A LEVER RIGHT UNDER YOUR SEAT THAT MAKES THE HYDRAULICS EITHER STAY DOWN OR "FLOAT". I THINK YOUR LEVER NEEDS TO BE DOWN. I HOPE THIS IS A RESOLUTION. AT LEAST IT IS CHEAP AND EASY TO TRY. LET US KNOW IF IT WORKS. Try that.
