I never noticed that someone had changed the starter rod on my Super 55. I see from the manual that it is suppose to be a foot pedal on the right side of the tractor, I have a hand operated rod on the left side of the tractor. I can't even find the linkage in the parts book. Anyone have the proper linkage for sale witht he pedal. Where does the pedal hinge? Also, I need the metal bar that the seat attaches to. Not the rubber torsion seat, but the spring metal seat. Some one made a home made job on mine. Email me if you can help out.......Thanks. |

Paul, where are you at? I have a 55 Super 55 with the little foot pedal and rod in good shape, and I don't want it. When I restore the tractor, I will be switching to key start. |

Mark, I am in Maple Ridge, BC. Curious why you want to switch to the key start? Safety? Security? Or is the foot pedal type of switch a problem. I just want to restore my tractor to origninal as much as possbile. |

Because with the foot pedal switch, my kids can climb up on the tractor, shove it down and start the tractor and drive off. The diesel doesn't need a key to run. Pure safety. |
