I very much enjoy your web site. It is very imformative. I grew up with olivers, Row crop 66, Super 77. Could someone please tell me where I could find the original colors for a 1968 1650 diesel.I would like to use spray cans if possible. This is the last tractor my dad bought. I found the oliver green at Tractor Supply but don't know the trim color. Thanks very much. |

The tractor suppply green tends too be to dark to be Oliver's meadow green. I would go to an AGCO dealer, they would have meadow green and the clover white in spray cans like you want. You can find your closest AGCO dealer by going to www.agcocorp.com and using their dealer locator. |

You definitely want to go to the nearest AGCO dealer and get the meadow green and clover white. Don't worry if when you are painting the white parts that they look way off far as being to green looking. After they are on the tractor the meadow green will make them look a lot whiter. |

Thanks for the paint info. You are right about the Tractor Supply being too dark. I will go to agco and repaint. I've had the injector pump rebuilt and 3 injectors are not working. I've read on the forum about "energy cells". What are they, and where are they? Thanks again |

They are literally opposite the injectors and help in the combustion of the fuel. If I remember correctly they should be a 1 1/8" socket, after removing the outer piece, then a fine threaded bolt can be screwed into the other piece to pull it out. We always called them fire plugs, if one should get full of carbon they will cause a rough running engine. |

Thanks for the "fire plug" info. My engine does not have any thing that looks like that. I've been told it is a Waukesha 283 engine. I thought I had injector problems, but I switched injectors to different cylinders and same problem. I haven't had it running in about 8 months and when it starts it's only running on 2 cylinders. One cylinder on each end. The 4 in the middle have white exhaust smoke until it goes dead, about 1 minute after starting. All 4 exhaust outlets are wet with diesel. It was running fine when I parked it. Any ideas ? Thanks |

It wouldn't hurt to take the injectors out and take them to the dealer and have them bench ckecked. Its not a real difficult job to do. I don't know about the cost, the guys back in the shop at our dealer will check them for free if I ask real nice. |
