I was at the canfield fair yesterday. Came across a unrestored 1957 OC3 cleat track with a gas engine. Left a note asking if it was for sale. Dam if he didn't call back. I have not heard it run. What is it worth? What is going to be wrong with it? Which cleat track had the Oliver grill on it? Boy I have enough questions to hire you guys. DENNIS the MENANCE

Worth can vary widely on the crawlers, depending on condition, so I'm not even going to guess at this point.
The main thing to watch out for is how much wear there is in the tracks. If they need rebuilt, it can be labor intesive and take quite a chunk of money. If the tracks and rollers are tight, the rest is easy.

The OC-4 and OC-6 used the Oliver grille.

I think you thought OC-3 and typed OC-4, The 4's had a heavy flat grille, if I remember correctly.

There were actually 3 different grilles for the OC-4. This handout I got at a winter show illustrates the three grilles.
oc4

I don't think the OC-3 ever changed it's grille.

Sorry Chris, for doubting your typing. Never remember seeing the 56 to 59 style grill on a 4. If it has a 3 cylinder engine it is an OC4.

I've got an OC-3 Oliver Crawler Model No. 003-42
8WH800 in very good condition with 12" special track 4 speed. I'm looking for the date it was manufactured and an aproximate value. What did the original grill look like on this one? Someone told me the one on it didn't look like the original? S.Sween

Looks like you have a 1952 OC-3.

The value could be anywhere from $2000 to $4000, or more. crawlers are to hard to guess on.

oc3

This is what the grille should look like.
