I have a 5440 but feel it is assemebled wrong and need wheel spacing of tractor for 3 bottom 14". I have a manual for the 4340 drawbar and the photos appear to indicate that the beams etc are all the same, but my plow as a tail wheel which is vertical rather then slanted. And I'm wondering if any one can tell me if I use the 4320 manual for redoing assemebly to the 3 bottom 14 will it work or is there a difference in bolt bracket etc locations?

Thank You Rutter

The 5440 should be a semi-mounted pipe beam plow, so the 4340 manual wouldn't be of much help. You can get a new manual from the Floyd County Museum at www.olivertractormanuals.org

Here's one of the pictures you sent.

After looking through my literature, I found the 5440, and this one looks like yours, so it looks like you do have a 5440.

These seem to be pretty rare plows. They were designed to be used with the power-traction hitch on the 770 and 880 Oliver tractors. Something does look odd about yours, but that manual from the Floyd County Museum will get you going.
