I am looking for some info on increasing the fluid capacity of the early Super 55s. I have the filler extension, but I am adding an external control, and need the lengths of the tubes that attach to the inlet and return for the control. Are they copper or steel, what's the length? I know they have some bends in them, because I have a picutre showing the tubes but I do not have any dimensions. Thanks for any help.

They show up in the parts book, but with out dimensions. I checked my service manual, but couldn't seem to find anything right off.

Yeah, I have a picture of them in the manual and parts book, but no measurements. They don't look that hard to make, but I would rather find them than make them. I don't know how crucial the bends are. Also, I am a bit curious as to how they are installed into the inside of the transmission cover, since the pipe threads are tapped from the outside? I am hoping someone who has done this before will see the posting. I remember seeing a Super 55 with the rasied filler at the National show in 2003, but at the time I wasn't thinking about doing it on my tractor. You only have to do it if you have external controls. By the way, my external doesn't have the flow adjustment on it, like I have seen in the parts book. it has the settings cast in the body, but no handle or spool valve. The casting hasn't been machined for it.

Well, today is your lucky day! I was looking up some parts for my 1800 and decided to look up the part number for the kit you need. I have one, complete with instructions and all of the pieces.

Drop me an email and we can work out the details.

Well, it must be a real lucky day. I got a call back from Tom at O'Briens and it's already on it's way. If for some reason it isn't right, I'll get back to you. In case you are interested, it is costing me $45 plus shipping. Thanks for the help though. When it rains it pours.
