Coupling on transmission input shaft spins -splines gone. Help! Where do we go & what do we do?

You'll have to at least pull the engine to get to the coupler. Sometimes the splines wear more on the sprocket, and you can get away with just a new sprocket. If not, you'll need to pull the transmission cover and the hydraulic/three point unit to get to the snap ring on the back of the input shaft. YOu'll also need to remove the three bolts that hold the seal carrier. From there, it's just a matter of driving the old one out and putting the new one in it's place. It would be a good idea to replace the bearings on the input shaft as long as it is apart. It's a lot easier than wishing you had.

If you don't have a local AGCO dealer, try giving Maibach's a call at 1-800-808-9934. If they don't have a used one, they'll be able to get you a new one.
