I was out at the tractor club and looking at our Hart Parr 12-24. I was wondering why they had the exhaust coming out the front of the tractor, right in front of the radiator. Seems like an odd design. Also, ours only has a straight pipe coming out, I noticed an article in Antique Power with the Hart Parr 30, it has what looks like a muffler on it. Is that simply an empty cylinder with some holes in it to baffle the sound. I was also surprised to see that the intake, although located high above the tractor did not have an oil bath, just a rain cap of some sort. I would be intereseted in getting the muffler if someone makes it or the dimensions for building one. Thanks |
