I recently obtained an Oliver 405 walking plow for our local historical society. It had no handles and was painted all silver. I have new handles for it but need to know the correct paint scheme. It has an adjustable hitch and small wheel at the front of the beam. What colors do I paint the parts? |

After some asking around, the consensus is paint it red with yellow letters. The mold boards weren't painted, so silver on the front and black on the back would be best to prevent rust. The handles should be black just where you hands go. There were probably many variations of color since this plow was made for many years. Thank you Sherry for helping me out with this. |
