I saw some original lighst on ebay. My Super 55 doesn't have the originals and I was thinking it would be nice to find some. The set on ebay doesn't have the lenses or trim rings. One is missing the socket. Are these lights impossible to find in good condition? If they are available, does anybody know where I can find some. It would be even better if I had the red light that was mounted on the back of the left fender.

Paul,
I saw the set on Ebay. One of them is defintitely a tail light. The tail light on the Super 55 was a combination flood(white) and tail(red) light. There is a switch right in the light housing that lets you switch between colors. We got lucky on our Super 55. It still had all the original lights in working condition. I would guess the tail light is harder to find since it was used almost exclusively on this model.
I have heard that the Korves Brothers are planning on making reproduction lights for Olivers. I don't know if that includes the tail light for the Super 55. They are working on a web page now, but it isn't running yet. It is www.korvesoliver.com.

I can take pictures of my Super 55's lights and post them here if that would help you any.

Chris thanks for the information. I talked to Marv Korves and they are expected to get the reproduction lights this year. I actually talked to him before I saw your post. I didn't know about the red/white light on the rear, so I didn't ask him about that one specifically. I went ahead and bid on those lights on ebay just in case I couldn't find the rear one. Managed to get the two for $51, but as I said it's that rear one that I thought I better grab. I appreciate your info on that one, otherwise I propably wouldn't have bothered.
