Scott,
You can get a new wiring harness from Korves Brothers. They also make quite a few reproduction sheet metal parts. I think they now make the cover that you are looking for. Best way to know is to give them a call. Here's their info.

Korves Brothers
5026 L Road
Red Bud Il. 62278

I am looking for a place to buy paint to restore my Oliver 77. I need the color numbers and would like to know where the best place is to buy it.

Don,
If you want paint codes, check out the HPOCA's webpage at http://www.hartparroliver.org and click on the vendors link. They have just about all of the paint codes. As far as what's best, that all depends on how much you want to spend. We've used the Meadow Green and Clover White from AGCO and had good luck with it. And the price is pretty good on it. You can find your closest AGCO-White dealer by using the dealer locator at http://www.agcocorp.com . Beyond that, get the paint codes and check with your local auto parts supply store.

Thanks, we got the paint codes and they will be a big help. Now I have another question. On my 77 Diesel I have a serial # of DSL351844C77D. I would like to know what year that is if someone has a book that can tell me. Thanks for your help.

Looks to be a 1953 model.
Glad I could help.

I need to know what color to paint the starter, generator, the radiator fan, and the radiator it's self on my Oliver 77 that I am restoring. Should it be green or black?

Jeff,
Paint them green. To the best of my knowledge, this is the way they came from the factory. The confusion comes from when a farmer had his starter, generator, etc. rebuilt, most places would paint them black. And that's the way they went back on, black.

Although, I must admit, I painted the starter and generator black on my 88. It just kinda sets them off nicely. But, with the side curtains on, they aren't visible anyway.
