While helping a neighbor lady gather up enough scrap metal from her dads farm for a run to the scrap yard, we went to a old pile in the lower end of a field. We uncovered an Oliver SB 20 turning plow (no wood) and a breaking plow and a planter,(no names or wood) The metal was excellent, having been buried in pinestraw a foot or more deep. What age range is the Oliver plow, and like someone below on the board, are there pics of the plow in use to see how it and the wood go together? Anybody have any idea of value (I know it isn't alot, but...) Someday we will have hauled off all the scrap, but we have a long ways to go. This is the closest I could find. I'm not sure as to what walking plows are bringing for prices these days. You might be able to find a new wood beam at a tractor show held in an area with some Amish residents. Also, check that post down below for a picture of a breaking plow. |
