Has anyone seen /have a photo of a super 77 standard? I found a front frame with front axle and steering in wreckers yard marked super 77 standard. Frame casting number was 101487A . My super 77 parts book is issued 8-1-55 so could be after that. Number not in 770/880 parts book. I have seen [tryed to buy ] super 88 standards or wheatlands as they can be known here [they use 18.4 x 30 rear 18 inch front] but never seen a super 77 model? Any ideas?

Hey Grant, I emailed you a picture of one. It's from the Oliver book by T. Herbert Morrell, page 90.

Here's a picture of one from the Super 77 literature form A-960, page 3, dated 1-57.

The part number doesn't show up on my parts cd either. Could it be a casting number?

Not just what I ment ? Super 55 sent me a photo from Herb Morrells book that is what I was looking for. I think this one you have posted is listed as row crop standard front axle. Thats what I am working on in the shop right now only its super 88 . Model I am loking for has 26? or 30 inch rear rubber. Maybe super 55 can post the photo here or send to you to post. Next time I'm in that yard I'll look a again and maybe it will not be a sleet/rain storm also!

Sleet and rain, what are you talking about! We broke 80 degrees (US degrees that is) yesterday. Ran a few soybeans today, but they're still a little too wet for me. And by the way, happy Thanksgiving.

I can't recall seeing an actual Super 77 standard. I do have a picture of one like the literature picture that was at the 2001 Plain City show
012s

I'll keep looking through my photos for more.

And do you have a guess why you would have non-adjustable front axle and power adjustable rears? Just wondering! Nice weather here plowing now just can't make up my mind I've used 66,77D and 88 standards all in 2 acre piece maybe I'll change plows and try the three again! As usual by the time I'm done it will be snowing!

I was looking in my fleetline service manual (sure wish I'd had the money to buy more of the old books when Rex went out!) today and found a good set of pictures explaining the different axles. Chris, where do I look on this site for idiot resistant instructions on how to load in pictures, and what format (.bmp, .jpg, etc) it likes.

Hey Grant, you're right. Shows how well I pay atention. I would guess there is a little bit of organ donation going on with that tractor.
I hope to be able to do some plowing after harvest is done. I might have to turn some snow down with the corn stubble too. Get yours all done and you can come on over and I'll put you on one of the FWA's. I've got enough plows to keep 4 out of the 5 busy now. :-)

Ian, for instructions on posting pictures, click on the following link: http://olivergang.org/cgi-bin/discus/discus.cgi?pg=formatting#images

The pictures must be either .gif or .jpg . If you have done it correctly, the 'Your image here' icon will be showing in the message preview. Then click post and it will ask you where the image is located on your computer. Click browse and select your image and then click upload. It will start uploading, but the screen doesn't change until the image is done uploading, so you may have to wait a couple minutes, depending on the file size.

Or easier yet, email me the picture and I'll add it for you.

I'll try to clear up the image posting. To ad an image type in the following:

\ image{description}

The keys you need to use are right above the enter key on your key board. You need to use the shift key to get the {} brackets and not the [] brackets. The text between the brackets is only for your reference and can be anything you want. Hope this helps.

If you get your image code correct, the preview of your post will show your image here like it does above. And don't do like I did and close your browser window before the images have uploaded.

Thanks Chris. Till I looked at these, all I'd ever seen were the fabricated standard axles, I had never known that they made cast standard axles for the fleetline machines.
