Hey Grant, Hope you got those remotes for the Super 55 at a good price. I didn't remember you had a Super 55. If you do, and you are putting the remotes on it, did you add the extension pipe where the dipstick goes? If not I have the deminsions for you. I found an extension off a parts tractor in Washington state. You also have to move the breather too. Email me if you need the plans. |

OH you scoundral...that was a steal. I paid a lot more, but I guess I was never accused of being patient. So, did you go out an vote today? Are there many Super 55s in Ontario? |

Voting all done here, our member a vegitarian animal activist should be interesting as the riding half of largest beef feeding/pork production area in province! As to super 55,s not a lot still here but most still being used. Mostly bank barns and they usually had loaders on them so they can be tuff looking tractors. I saw a 2-44L at local consignment sale ,has powersteering weight box on back and never had 3 point/pto or drawbar. Even has a nice cab with split door on both sides. I couldn,t see a make maybe Chris has some info on cabs .Sale is on 13th. so may have a look allways wanted a cab tractor! But 7 foot may be pushing too much snowblower! |

So far all I've found is this piece for an aftermarket cab. Maybe I'll find more on the next expedition.

Oh, that would be nice to find a cab. Chris, was there a date on that pamphlet? Wonder how many were sold for the Super 55 and if any are still around. |

Don't feel bad, because I have done this too... the date is printed in the lower right hand corner of the sheet - January 1, 1955. I've never seen a cab on a Super 55, so the only guess I could make is that there weren't many made. $460 seems like a lot of 1955 dollars for an enclosed cab. Throw in the wiper and some other options and you're up around $500. And then there's shipping. I have one more page that shows a cab for the OC-18. Here it is.

I'll try and get there either before or on sale day if weather stays wet. Its rained for two weeks so hate to loose a dry sunny day of plowing ! Usually ends up one day of plowing in the snow! Of note in Super 55's area 2 inchs of snow is a disaster here a nice day! |

Update on 2-44LL its a Sims cab tag says made for 2-44 on cab serial tag. Gas ran good , loader worked good, power steering not working. Apparently had shudder in clutch when engaging so i<m guessing clutch time. Had rockshaft no three point arms. Nice to have spys closer to sale no price yet!Oh yes shuttle shift 4 gears with forward/ reverse seemed to work good. |
