The batterys were low in my 4-175, hadn't used it since discing this spring. I pulled an IDIOT move and put charger on "activate" without taking cables off. I think I've fried the brain box. Any body have a place they can reccomend for repair?

I'll have to go through the rolodex at the shop tomorrow. I was always happy with the place we sent our electronics out for repair, but will have to refresh my memory as to who it was.

What choice did you make for your Saturday? Play or pay?

Neither. Ended up going out to farm and "dinking around" in tool shed while Wife canned tomatos (AKA keeping 5 year old away from mom). From prices posted on Y.T. board things were too rich for my wallet any way. I'm going to try and have the HG-68 and 2x14 slat bottom ready for your place next year.

Hey, a slat bottom would be neat to see. How well do they work in somewhat sandy soil?

On the electronics. I had some wiring trouble on the 4-225 in the spring and had my brain box out. There is a fuse that goes into the back side of the box. You might want to check if yours has a fuse and if it is blown. Might be a cheap fix.

I forgot to get you a name for repairs. Hopefully my brain box will work better tomorrow.

Slat bottoms are for stickey soils that don't scour well. They are used mostly in muck soils. Mine is probably too pitted now for muck, but I'd probably have the only one there.

Ian, sorry it took so long. I finally had to call Bill because I couldn't remeber for sure which place we used. The place is:

Agri-Tronix
2001 N US 31
Franklin, IN 46131

Call them at 1-800-445-5058. Hopefully this info is still good. You can also view their web site at http://www.agri-tronix.com/

Thanks Chris. Having a lovely late summer. A bearing let loose in the PTO on the 1555 and took out both gears. I've got a fax into Maibach's to see if they've got some used gears.
