my father-in-law (83 yrs old) recently passed away. and the family is going to have an auction of all his antiquities. There are several old farm implements. For reason unknown to me one of the implements has "perked" my curiousity. I wonder if you could steer me in a direction I could find any info. I have several pictures, but can't figure out how to add to your message board. there are "nameplates" on each side. One side saying "FERTILIZER AND GRAIN DRILL. OLIVER FARM EQUIPMENT COMPANY SPRINGFIELD, OHIO." The other sides plate reads: "FORGE FEET GRAIN AND FERTILIZER DRILL WITH VARIABLE SPEED, G 1747" Any information you could give I would be most appreciative, and apologize for any inconvenience. Jeff, If you could email me the pictures at webmaster@olivergang.org I can add them to the forum for you. I should be able to tell you more once I see the pictures. |
