Hi Guys, I just puchhased an Oliver "Red River Special" Seperator, Serial Number 51111. Is there anyone in your group who can possible tell me the manufacturing date and where I might be able to get a reproduction copy of a parts/maintenance manual for this beauty? All of the sheetmetal is in great shape, but all of the belts and about half of the pulleys have disenergated, so I'll definitly need dimensions, etc. I'm a member of the Four Corners Antique Power Association here in the Southwest corner of Colorado and would appreciate any help you might provide. Please email me with any information or pointers. Thanks for you time and attention Terry Saxon |

From my serial number list, it looks to be a 1938 model. Is there anything near the serial number that says something like "28 X 46"? This should be the cylinder size. If you could get me this number, I could be a little more definite with the year. By the way, the last serial number for the 28 X 46 steel seperator in 1938 was 51112, so chances are you have the next to the last one made that year. Try contacting the Floyd County Museum for manuals for this machine. You can find a link to their web site on the links page of this site. |
