We are looking for a part for our newly acquired Oliver manure spreader, "Oliver Superior" serial no. 11-2166. A bracket which is under the gear fender is broken. It holds a bolt horizontal and the bolt has a couple of springs clipped onto it. It all has something to do with driving the chain that pulls the bars which unloads the manure. Someone in the past made bulk racks for this machine which made it too heavy of a load and the torque busted the bracket. Of course we would like to get this machine working again. The part is an oval piece with bolt holes at the top and bottom. It bolts to the side of the spreader, and a rod sticks out of it which rotates and may have a couple spring wires attached to it. It could be a part that may have been kept in stock because of the breakage problem. Any information you can help me with would be greatly appreciated. Try calling Maibach's in Creston, Ohio at 1-800-808-9934. I was told that they have bought the parts inventory of several old Oliver dealers and have a lot of old parts on hand. The friend that told me this wanted a part for an Oliver #2 hay rake, they had it and shipped it and he had it the next day. |
