I am trying to restore a 1939 70 RC #227004 What is the correct paint lay out for that year. Are gages yellow? grill.wheels,Oliver stripe on front? I have looked at a lot of pictures on this site and each one is different. Thanks much for any help!!!

I'll take some pictures of my 70, it's still in it's original paint.
I'm not sure if the gauges were yellow back then, but it's about the closest thing you can get if you need new gauges. The grille would be yellow, the wheels red, and the center strip of the grille that says Oliver would be red, green and yellow.
Here's a picture of the grille of my 60, which we are the original owners and never repainted until restoration about 12 years ago. We put the colors back they way they were, and if I was to paint the 70, I would do it the same. The 60 is a 1940, and it has black faced gauges.

I looked a little closer at the 70 and now would have to say it had been repainted at sometime. From what I can see through the flaked off paint, the color scheme is the same as the 60 above. My 70 has yellow faced gauges, but is a late one.
