Hi all I just unloaded my 950 diesel and find that the serial number is 530114. Would this be a very early 950? I was told by the seller that Oliver made less 950's then the 990's. Is this true? Thanks John |

1958 was the first year for the 950. Serial numbers ranged from 530001 to 530387 for 1958, so yours would be a late 1958. 990's and 995's were lumped into this serial number range so actual production numbers would be impossible to to figure out with this information. This serial number range doesn't seem to overlap with the other models of Oliver tractors, so I think it would be safe to say that there were 388 950's, 990's and 995's combined made in 1958. My guess would be that there are fewer 950's than 990's just by the number of them that I see at shows and for sale. But it is a guess. |
