I want to do some plowing with my S55, but the 3ph swings side to side quite a bit. There is a steel arm stabilizer in the original parts manual but I am sure its near impossible to get. Has anyone overcome this swinging with other fabrications? I would like a set up where I can stabilize it, and still raise and lower it. Thanks in advance, a picture would really great. STU |

I haven't seen anything besides the steel stabilizer arms you have mentioned. They wouldn't be too hard to make. If you want, I can measure what I have and take some pictures so you can fab your own. |

Here is a picture of the right three point arm and the right stabalizer arm where they attach to the tractor. The stabalizer arm holes are 31 inches center to center, the same as the three point arms. The pin the stabalizer arm mounts on needs to be in line with the bolt that the three point arm mounts to, or the geometry will be off and it will bind. The bracket with the pin is attached using the bolts that hold the fenders on the axle. If you have any more questions, let me know. |
