Does anyone know of a way to identify if a 1600-1650-1655 tractor has the dual speed pto option other than pulling the output shaft and checking for two sets of internal splines? At most sales it is hard to pull the output shaft. |

Dean, So far the only way I have been able to find as of yet is to pull the shaft. The only thing I can think of is if was in the model number on the serial tag somehow. But if it is, I don't how to tell. If it has the 1000 shaft in, I would say it is a safe bet that it is dual speed. Did you find out if yours is a single or dual speed? |

Chris--I started to work on my 1655 MFWA today. Got the cab off is all but checked out the pto. It does have the dual speed; two sets of internal splines when you remove the pto output shaft assembly and look in with a flashlight. My 1655 2WD is a single speed 540 pto. I've bought a set of fenders, pto shield, and 8 flat front weights (157309A) so I'm pretty well set for parts now. Also signed up for 3 tractor rides this summer. |

Are you taking the 1655 FWA on the tractor rides? |
