Does anyone know what the differences are in 66 RC front hubs? Mine are casting number L1176 both of them are bad and the after market replacement ones are for another casting number. The tractor is a 1950. Does anyone have a set of hubs for sale?

Rod, first off, I have a feeling that you aren't the Rodney Romain I know. Sorry for the mistake.

As for the hubs, they probably have a newer part number that replaces the old one. If you could post the part numbers for the replacement ones, I can see if I can cross-reference them.

The Rod you know is my dad. I don't have the hub numbers for the replacements. The one place I talked to said the book showed them as not interchangable.

I was asking myself, "how many Rod Romains can there be?" It's still good to have you here.

The bolt cirle should be the same for the 66, 77 and 88, but I think the 66 uses a smaller spindle. That would mean smaller bearings. Chances are they went to a heavier hub with the new part number that also took different bearings. I don't have any hubs, but maybe someone else that does will see this.

I have a 66 parts tractor, the front wheels are stamped steel 6 bolt circle, not the heavy cast hubs as on 77's and 88's. Same wheels and hubs as on my working 66. I will have to wait for the weather to break to go down there (65 miles one way)and look at them. Willing to sell them to you if you can use them.
