My neighbor was plowing with his 1655 today and he say's it seemd to slowly lose power. Say's it skipped a bit and eventually died as if kill switch was pulled. After waiting a little while, he recranked and tractor ran good, he drove approx. 200ft, and tractor died again. Recranked, and same thing....200ft, then dies. Any idea where or what he might begin to do to get back going?

I'm assuming this is a diesel engine.
First thing I would do is change the fuel filters. While doing that, I would make sure there wasn't something blocking the fuel flow in the tank or the lines. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me.

After that, it sounds similar to something that happened to our 2-155, which also uses the Roosa-Master style injection pump. Some spring or something broke inside the injection pump. I lost my power and RPM's in a matter of seconds. We had to take another tractor to the field to hook to the manure tank, because the 2-155 barely had enough power to move itself down the road back to the shop. We took the pump off and sent it in. It was simple and relatively cheap for them to fix it, so it was mostly an inconvenience when all was said and done.
