Has anyone ever seen a 1/16 model of the Spirit of Oliver? It is made my Ertl and has 1988 Spirit of Oliver right on the frame. It has the chrome rims, chrome exhaust and air cleaner, 4wd, and all the decals just like the real thing. I was just wondering if a lot of them were made? My mom got it for my birthday frome an antique shop and there was no box with it. I had never seen one before in my life.
Thanks,
Geoffrey Heck

Yes, I have seen them. I have a couple of them here at home. I occasionally see one on eBay every now and then, and they have gone up in value. Back when those Spirit toys were new, the only place you were supposed to be able to get White and Oliver toys was from a White dealer. Of course you could find them at the toy shows. It always amazed me how some of the sellers at toy shows could get the new Oliver and White toys before we as a dealer could, but that is another story. Because you couldn't go to Toys R Us or any other store and buy the Spirit of Oliver toy, there aren't going to be as many of them as there would be a JD or IH. Other than that, I would have no idea as to how many of these were produced.

I just found one on eBay at 1/16th Spirit toy

It was also made as a 1/64 scale too. Here is one of those on eBay too.

Thanks Chris. I had never seen one of the 1988 tractor models until I got this one. Unfortunatly, mine doesn't have the box. Other than that, I would say it's in mint condition. I did get an original 60 Spirit of Oliver when I was a kid and still have it today. I just wish AGCO would do something like that now.

I'd like to see the return of the meadow green too. But with AGCO dropping the White name on the tractors, I think Oliver's return is hard to envision. But when I see the ads in the farm magazines with brand new Farmall tractors in them, I tell myself that there's always hope. Who knows what the future may bring....

When you say a 60 Spirit of Oliver, are you referring to the American series of tractors?
