Hi all. I am looking for information on the Oliver 75,105,125,145 garden tractors. I have been trying to find one in Ohio to restore but can't find one. Any advice? Thanks alot!

The Oliver garden tractors were made by Jacobsen for Oliver in the early seventies. If memory serves, they were made for only about 2 or 3 years. The engines in these garden tractors were made by Kohler. If you drop the 5 off the model number, then you have the approximate horsepower rating of each unit.

Jacobsen also made garden tractors for Ford, Minneapolis Moline, Cockshutt, and even the White brand name. There may have been others, but those are the ones I am sure of.

These garden tractors are hard to find, but I keep hearing stories of them turning up here and there. Consignment auctions and classifieds in local papers seem to be where I hear they are being found. A die-hard Oliver fan always has their 'Oliver Goggles' on and can see an Oliver through trees, weeds, and even through the occasional building it seems like.

BA Star, who views this forum regularly, has a few Oliver garden tractors and hopefully will fill us in with some more details on these units.

I was just looking at BA Star's web page, and he has quite a bit of info on the Oliver garden tractors there. You can see his page at http://incolor.inetnebr.com/corvette/

The Oliver/White Town & Country l&g tractors are a hot commodity. Highly sought after. Back in the fall, I listed an average/mediocre condition White 125 T&C on eBay, and put a 'buy it now' price of $1500US on it, and it sold in 24 hours to a buyer 3000 miles away.
