i am looking at restoring a 1655 or 1650 both are fwa. what is the value of each,which would be the one to restore?and more valuable?

That would be a tough one if you can only do one. My guess would be that there are fewer 1650 FWA's just because farmers probably weren't as likely to splurge for FWA on a 67 horse power tractor in the mid-1960's. But production numbers for different configurations of the same model tractor weren't kept, so there's no way to tell how many 1650's or 1655's were FWA.

Value depends on so many factors. Gas or diesel, tired or field ready, tire condition, etc.... I just put new tires on my 1655 FWA in September, and it ran me about $1,600, with all of my own labor. Tires could be had for less, but if you want them all to match with a tread style that looks close to original, you choices start getting limited. As for the value of them restored, I would guess between $8,000 - $10,000.
