the hoe is a 1617,loader is a 1678, tractor 4-80,it is fwa,1976 year.is this a ind. 1655 fwa?do you have any information on this ?it also has a forward reveser on it ,did they hold up good? anything will help thanks john |

The equivalent of a 1655 was the 4-78 industrial. I don't have alot of information on the 4-80 except that it was made from 1973 to 1975. The reverse-o-torq was a fairly reliable unit, but can be a bit pricey to rebuild if it needs it. It would probably have manual brakes on it. If memory serves, the reverser pedals were tied into the brakes somehow. You might want to check out the post called " Oliver model 1678 industrial backhoe". It's about 22 down the list from this topic. There is a picture of the literature for the Industrial 1650 with the 1617 loader and 1678 backhoe. |
