We must be a little different in Iowa. We have The Great Iowa Tractor Ride sponsored by WHO radio the last week of June annually. This seems to have caused some spinoffs like The Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade sponsored by WMT radio and I think I heard WGN radio of Chicago was to have a ride also. I just got back from a ride put on by the Chariton Valley Antique Power club making a 100 mile circle starting and finishing at the Humeston sale barn with an overnight stay in Lamoni. I'm happy to say the 60 ran like a sewing machine the whole way getting thoroughly limbered up from a 32 year rest up on blocks. Are we a little odd or what?

Heck that sounds like fun. Should I leave my Super 55 up on blocks a little longer? I've had it apart for 2 years now plunking away on my free time. Shows you how much free time I manage to get.

We were going to go to see one of these tractorcades that included a good friend of ours getting married at the beggining of the event. Unfortunately, we had a bit of a family emergency here that prevented us from going that far from home. Some day I am going to make it out there to see one of these trractorcades. They sound like fun.

Miles of smiles was probably a good name for it. I know I was happy when we were done. The trans was noisy and the engine was smoky and doggy at the start, by the time we finished, the trans had quieted down and the engine stopped smoking and was definetly producing more power.
