The lift on my 1250 A would not pick up the mower.
We took the mower off and the arms flopped down.
We put the mower back on and added some hydraulic oil and the lift picked up the mower part way.
Then we added more hydraulic oil and it lifted the deck properly. (The hydraulic dipstick is not in English...it has NORMALE and SOLLEVATORE.) We started to mow and lowered the deck to cut and now it won't pick up at all.
There is a lever under the seat for SENSITIVITY and another lever just below the lift handle.
Why would the lift work once in a while but not every time?

It could be a peice of foreign material keeping a spool from moving prperly. It might stick one time and not the next.

I believe the dispstick is NORMALE = Full and SOLLEVATORE= add. Is the oil level going down after running the tractor for a few minutes?

I'm not very familiar with the Fiat-built Olivers, so I'll have to see if I have a manual before I could help any more.
