I'm looking at an Oliver 90 that is missing the hood and gas tank. One back tire is bad, the rest are good and the engine is stuck. He is asking $400 for it as is. Is it worth it or not???? |

That doesn't sound to out of line to me. The hood is pretty simple and a good metal fabrication shop could make you a new one. The gas tank might be a different story. If the rest of the tractor is in good shape, you could probably get your $400 back out it by parting it out. I also think it would be safe to say that you could sink a couple grand into restoring it. I haven't heard of any sale prices for a restored 90, but I think $3,000 to $4,000 would be the asking price on one. From what you've told about it, I'd give the $400 for it. |
