Does anyone know what the tach drive gear ratio is on the 770? | ||

I was just thinking, are you looking for the ratio in the little angle drive gear box for the tach, or are you looking for the ratio of the crankshaft speed to the tach cable speed? | ||

Chris Crank speed to cable speed should be okay. If you have a distributor that's out or apart the tooth count on the tach drive and driven gears would be ideal. Thanks Hooter | ||

I finally checked on my 1650 today. It should be the same, the tach cable is driven off the distributor. The cable speed is the same as the cam and distributor, or half of the crank speed. Sorry it took so long. |
