My husband just purchased an Oliver plow with three wheels and a seat for the farmer. We cannot make out the wording on the plow shear, but it looks like "belle" after Oliver. It has a seal on it with a P surrounded on the outer edges with words we cannot make out. A local farmer thought it might have been produced around 1900. It is missing parts that would keep the shear up off the ground when moving from one location to another. Does anyone have any information about this type of plow that you could share with us? |

The wording on the plow would be Oliver Chilled Plow. Oliver 'chilled' their plow parts to make them stronger and wear better. Without seeing the plow, I couldn't tell you which model it is. It could have been made around 1900. It could be newer, or older, too. |
