I've fallen in love with the early style tractors, but I would'nt know what to look for when buying one. Is there any info on this? I'm looking at the 60 just for the size. |

I would check things like oil levels. Also, I would want to hear it run, and drive it around, trying all of the gears. Listen for unusual noises. The biggest expenses are going to be tires, sheet metal and an engine overhaul, so paying a little more for one that is in good shape is cheaper in the long run than putting tons of money into a cluncker. The 60 is a good tractor to start with. It is light and easy to haul to shows. Plus, parts availability is is pretty good too. And there are quite a few of them out there, so the price of one isn't too bad. Good luck on finding that tractor. |
