OK, here's the deal. A couple of months ago I bent the piston rod on the crowd (dipper stick)cylinder on my 1650. A new rod fixed that problem, but I've noticed leakage between the shaft and top plate on the swing cylinder. I know now that I crushed the seal when I bent the rod. My AGCO dealer ordered the seals. Following the instructions in the manual, the fix took less than one hour. I'm posting this simply to reinforce the need for manuals, and to say thanks to the forum for being such a great source of information, and readily available help when it is needed. |
