Ok, I figured that one out. One last question- What is supposed to lock the pto lever in the engaged position? Mine will engage but there isn`t anything to hold the lever in that position. Thanks

There should be a bracket on the side of the dash, that a piece goes on to hold the pto lever, kinda hard to explain, I could take a pic of mine later maybe. |

Maybe mine is different than yours. The pto lever on mine is to the right of the seat? |

You have a rear handle which is the most common. Gord has a front handle which is either a latter tractor or someone converted it. The PTO operates with an over center clutch. When you move the handle to engage the PTO the clutch snaps overcenter. It should take about a pull of 40 pounds at the top of the handle to snap it overcenter. This also holds it in place. If you do not have that you need to adjust your PTO clutch. |
