I just bought a super 55. The serial number is 29847-518. By the serial number list for Oliver 55's I have found on the internet this would appear to be a 1957 machine, given that only the last 5 numbers of the serial are used. Is that correct? If so what the heck is the 298 for? There is also a spec number 15-0005, which I ASSUME just means it is a super 55, right? Alex |

First 5 numbers, Without looking I would say it is a late 1955 models. 518 is the gear train code. 1957 models have a different hydraulic and key start and the gas jobs are 12 volt start. |
