I have a 1550 oliver just wondering if swapping motors with a 1600 is possible, any info would be greatly appreciated. |

It should bolt right up. About the only problem I can think of is the water pump lining up with the radiator, and the holes in the hood for intake and exhaust. |

Which PTO do you have on the 1550 the single speed or the dual speed unit? You may need to swap the long shaft as the engines are not the same length but the transmission case is. |

I guess that depends on what you mean by best. Best price, there are quite a few places on the internet to check around for prices. I'd personally recommend Ag Parts First ( www.agpartfirst.com ) or O'Brien County Implement ( www.obci.net ) Both are reputable and will give excellent service as well as advice. They will ship as well. You might try Korves Oliver ( www.korvesoliver.com ) as well, but I don't think they carry kits for Olivers as new as the 1550. But they are excellent people to work with as well. |
