I have a problem with the starter on my 1365. All it would do is bump the other morning and I took it off for an inspection after checking out the battery. Took off the metal cover on the back of the starter and the only thing I have found is a small metal keeper or lock(poor description) that keeps the lower brass contact from moving forward. I held this lock up and it performs perfectly. I wired it in the up position and it works on the tractor fine but I do not want to leave it this way. Does anyone know what raises this lock while the starter engages or maybe mine has worn too much to keep it from working properly. I have posted this on almost every site I know but no answers yet. Thanks in advance.. |

The original starters were not that good. We always replace these starters with those used on the white 2-60, as they were much better starters |
