Saw a White cab on a 2255 Oliver. Can someone tell me which series White cab would fit my 2255 with the least problems or modifications? I'm in southeast Ga. and there are NO White tractors--Dead or Alive--so where might I find a good cab with ac and heat? Thanks |

I have 4 Oliver Hi-crop tractors for sale. All are diesel and all run. A 1255, a 1265, a White 2-60, and a 1355 that is missing the alternator. $3000 each or all four for $10,000. The tractors are in Calif now. |

Cab from a 2-150 will bolt right on. The only problem with the old 1st generation White cabs is that the condenser was in the back of the roof and used electric motors to blow through it. Also the evaporator and condenser are sized for R12 so when using R134A you won't get as much cool out of them. You probably have enough room in front of your radiator to cobble in a "regular" condenser. |

Thanks Ian, you spoke of the 1st generation White cab as being inferior--Is the 2-150 that you recommended a 1st gen or an improved later gen cab? Also do you know where I might find one? |

The 2-150 is the older style. They aren't BAD, just not as good as the later ones. As far as I remember all 2-150's had the 1st gen cab. The other cab came out when the 2-105's got the lights in the grille, don't remember what the s/n break was, but it was also when they moved the air filter to in front of the radiator from under the hood. |

So I need to be looking for a 2-105 cab for my 2255. Will it fit without too much work? My ole 2255 has a cab but it's the ole square box type which is about rusted out. I need one that will keep out the dust and cool me. I ain't getting no younger! By the way, I drove this same tractor from here (near Savannah, Georgia) to Washington, D. C. back in 1978. Don't know how old you are--you may or may not remember the American Agriculture Movement National Tractorcade. I waxed ole hon, inverted the exhaust manifolds added dual chrome stacks, kept my rear duals on and hit I-95 to D.C. to visit ole Jimmy Carter. Needless to say, he wasn't real happy to see us! |

Yes I remember that. I hit the 1/2 century in a couple weeks. A 2-105 cab MAY fit but you'ld have to take measurements of the hood width, axle mounting width, etc. and to make sure a condensor will fit in ftont of the radiator. |
