I recently purchased a Super 55 which lacks the serial number plate. However the engine serial number is 1038564. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me identify the year of the tractor from the engine number. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. |

Well it is not an early one. I have some questions for you. There are some casting numbers on the engine block behind the starter. I need all 3. Is your hydraulic filter on the front of the unit and inside a casting or is it on the side inside a steel can? Does your gas cap stick out above the hood ? Is it 12 volt key start or do you push a petal to engage the starter? start there. |

Hi John, Thanks for your response. The numbers cast into the block on the starter side appear to be: 180220-G above ILB-100B. I will check and see if there are any other numbers I can find in that area. The hydraulic filter is in the front and the gas cap sticks out through the hood. It is 12V now but may have been converted as it has a Delco alternator. The ignition switch is an aftermarket univesal, but there is no sign of a pedal switch. |
