I have a 1957 Olive OC4 crawler, model OC4-42-G and serial number 2TG-276. The bearings are shot in the final drives. Can anyone tell me what the bearings(roller/tapered) are supposed to be? I need the ones on the main drive shaft that go in front of and behind the small pinion gear and the one that go in front and behind the ring gear? The bearing races are pretty chewed up but what I can make out for the drive shaft are [Timken 14138A and Bower 15112] and for the ring gear [Timken 368A and Timken 16885 or 16685 I can't tell]. Thats all I can make out. I have a manual that says "bearing" but doesn't tell what number and from who manufactured it. Also, on the ring gear, it looks like the gear is press on the hub with the studs for the sprocket. The back of the hub is busted but the gear looks okay. Can I get just the hub and press the ring gear from the bad one to the good one? Thanks for any help. D. Groff |
