My 1941 "70" has what I believe is a factory conversion kit to distributor ignition. While the right side large curtain was found during a farm dispersal, it does not close (by a considerable amount) due to interference with the distributor. A friend who is a former IH dealership mechanic says the distributor could be readjusted inwardly but only at the expense of good timing. Any ideas on how to make use of the side curtain ? |
