took my baler out and tried it in some good alfalfa and here is what i got. out of 131 bales, about 30 of them the knot had to be tied by hand ad it pulled apart when coming out of the baler. about 12 broke when they hit the ground, and it looks like it's about 6 inches from the knot. i am using the green color sisal twine. could all these troubles be twine troubles or baler troubles. thanks, Gary |

take a good look at the tying fingers (they look like crab claws). The top claw has a barb on it.If this barb is getting worn ,it will miss.Is it one side or both?~brad |

what i have found it does is the knot hangs up sometimes in the bill hook even though i have them pretty loose, and sometimes it hangs up on the cutting arm. if i have the baler cranked down too tight, will it do this, it dont matter the side, sometimes left, then right, then both. |
